... She dropped her head on his chest and

 stayed there, drifted into thoughts as she listened to the rhythm of his heartbeat, it continued to beat strong and unfalteringly, it was as though his heart was telling her everything he needed to have told her. It was clear to her that she has found someone true who wasn't afraid or shy to show it.

It's been days and the storm had reduced but it was still raining even though the clouds were beginning to clear out. Brian could wait nomore, he took the car and left to Ariana's, despite aunt Isabel's warnings not to go anywhere yet until it was safe to.  

As he drove passed every block, he found no one but him on the road, no man nor cars. It occurred to him that he may have made the wrong decision to head out. 

The entire streets were flooded and he was nolonger sure he should move on, he considered going back but he remembered how Ariana ended up at the hospital because he didn't respond to the prompting he had back then, and perhaps,  this might be another episode who knows. He would not forgive himself if anything happens to her. So he decided to go to her by any means possible.  

He pulled over a filling station and decided to park there because it was close by their house and he walked down to Ariana's. He said it was better to walk through the short cuts than driving through them. As he walked, the wind almost threw him overboard into a big natural occurrences of nature, but he didn't fall in even though he reeled from side to side till he became calculable to continue his journey.

He managed his way through the storm, even through the rain until he got to his girlfriend's apartment.  By the time he arrived,  he was drenched as if he took a bath with his clothes on dripping and cold. He let himself in through the back door and there  was no light. But because he has gotten used to the place,  he was able to find his way even in the dark to the kitchen. 

When he got to the kitchen door (the entrance into the living room) he saw a trace of light, he thought it was Ariana so he smiled and hastened to meet her, only to see another man and a woman on the couch entangled as the lamb was nolonger bright enough for him to see clearly, he thought it was Ariana in the arms of another man. How could that be? Someone he has never met before? 

His heart melted into his stomach.  How will he begin to explain to anyone who cared to listen that he found the love of his life in the arms of another?

"How do I even get home now? He soliloquized. 

He was shivering from the rain and drenched clothes, he was confused and mad. He said he was stupid to think that he was worried about her while she was enjoying the company of another. 

Seeing how he was, he decided to head upstairs even though he was pained,  but that was the best option at that time,  so he can change up and keep warm  while he waits for her in there. 

So he went up and entered the room Ariana and him were before he left. Immediately he got in, he busted out crying as he could nolonger hold back his emotions, he wished he didn't meet the scene...
