Brian slept almost immediately after he tried reaching Ariana but couldn't. 

Audrey finished eating and was going to take the tray to the kitchen but was interrupted by Ariana. She took the tray from him and took it to the kitchen.

He enjoyed the meal though it wasn't so much, as it was just omelette and bread, but the omelette was really tasty.

He turned on his phone and saw the battery was almost gone. He used the phone's torch and went to the kitchen, holding the light up for her as she did the dishes.  She wasn't expecting him to come help out with the phone light because she could still manage the situation,  but it was much better with him holding the light for her than before.

"Thank you Audrey for being so thoughtful", she said to him while washing the plates. "You're welcome", he replied.

It wasn't long until they were done, he showed her the way by lighting her path from behind her into the living room.

Immediately they got back into the room, for whatever reason, flashes of Alexandra came to his mind. He wished she was the one with him at that time. He wanted to know what being with her feels like without intoxication. As Ariana spoke to him, she realized he was carried away by some thoughts, so she let him be.

Ariana left Audrey and went upstairs and Audrey didn't even hear her leave. That's how deeply gone he was.

When he realized (when he came back to reality), he found out that Ariana wasn't with him anymore. He thought she went to use the convenience or get something, so he waited for her to return when she was done.

He had waited for over forty minutes (40 minutes) after he had drifted in his thoughts. She had not come back, he went after her. He looked for her at the place they were first, to see if she entered anywhere there, but she wasn't downstairs. Then, he went up looking for her. As he got up, he slightly opened the first door by the left, he didn't think anyone would be in that first room,  but oh well, there she was...

She was lying in her bed and he thought she had slept, so he hurriedly turned to leave as he wouldn't want to disturb her, but she called him back and said it was okay for him to come in. He went in, and she stretched out her hand to him and he went even closer and held her hand. It felt so nice and was like a dream come true for him.

Meanwhile,  Alexandra had let herself in from the back door with a big lamp and did not find Audrey in the cellar. She thought he had woken up and gone to work. “How could he leave in this weather? It is quite dark and dangerous to drive or even be driven", she thought to herself. “Maybe he left before the weather changed", she concluded. 

Then she decided to check on Ariana to know how she's doing. She went into the living room and did not see her. Then, she turned to go up but saw something she recognized from the night before, she went closer and took a closer look at it, it was Audrey's clothes from yesterday,  neatly folded and kept at one end of the couch. 

She wanted to be sure it was his so she raised the clothes one after the other and saw that it was really Audrey's belongings...
