THE ARREST 

Alexandra,  Brian and Mr Anderson stood, confused of what happened.  Each trying to explain in their head the situation considering the scene. As Alex just finished filling the form that was given to her by the hospital for Ariana. 

Brian and Mr Anderson had traces of blood on their bodies and cloth, but it didn't matter, they just wanted to know how Ariana was doing.

Shortly after, the doctor (Dr Thompson) came out of the emergency room and asked for the family of Ariana and they all chorused "we are". Then he went further looking at the file in his hands containing Ariana's form and said: "Thank you for bringing her as soon as you could, anything later than that would have resulted in something worse". He went on...

Dr Thompson: I'll like to ask; What really happened?  She lost a lot of blood... He said that looking at them, but...

The three looked at each other, not knowing exactly what to say, then Mr Anderson spoke up and said, "we met her like that.  So our guess is, she probably tripped, hitting her head on a table and her hand on the bottle I think". 

Dr Thompson: Oh! That could probably  be what happened.  She'll be fine, she just lost a lot of blood but she's stable now and sleeping.  You may see her if you wish to, but do not wake her up. 

He turns to walk away but turned around and asked Mr Anderson;

Dr Thompson: Why are your clothes off? Are you sure this is not a case of rape? 

Brian and Alexander looked at each other and then to Mr Anderson silently and he (Mr Anderson)  was perplexed and said "no sir, it's not. How can it be?"

Dr Thompson: You tell me, uncles rape their nieces these days...

Brian was almost thinking why the hell not, why will he not do it, afterall Ariana is too pretty and hardly will anyone reject such thoughts,  except of course a disciplined man. And where are his damn cloths for Christ sake...? 

But on a second thought, Brian remembered the man he met few hours ago and recalled that, that man is incapable of doing such. Then Alexandra spoke up when she saw that it may get out of hand if nothing is done to resolve the issue...

Alexandra: Listen guys,  the man is innocent(referring to Mr Anderson). 

The doctor asked, "how so?"

Alexandra: he called me, and said he was at Ariana's apartment and needs to get into the house because Ariana texted him to. 

Brian was shocked,  "but why didn't she text me?" He said out loud. He then remembered the flash from her and said,  "oh! She tried to reach me too.

Mr Anderson: How?

Brian: She called me...

Mr Anderson: Did you speak with her? What did she tell you??

Brian: No, no, I didn't speak with her. In fact I am not sure if she intended calling though. I think it was a flash. 

Dr Thompson: What are you guys ranting about?  Obviously,  there's something fishy about this and I'm not letting you three out of this place without clarity of what actually happened to that young lady.

Doctor calls security,  and tells them, "watch these guys closely,  do not let them out of your sight until I'm back with the cops".

Security: Yes sir!

Mr Anderson: Is this a joke or what? What is the meaning of all of this? Brian tried to calm him down but really want's to hear why he does not have cloths on, but Alexandra ruins the conversation and asked.

Alexandra: Why didn't Ariana call me or text me? Why did she decide to reach out to strangers and not me? I mean, people she just met. Referring to Brian and Mr Anderson. 

Mr Anderson cuts in, "calm yourself Alexandra,  we really don't know what happened.  Maybe she tried reaching everyone and you too but could not. Brian said he got a flash, and I got a text. Maybe she tried reaching you but she could not. This is your friend lying there, and you know her more than we do. She'll be able to explain better when she wakes.

As they yet spoke, the Dr, arrived with two police men and over heard Mr Anderson saying Alexandra is Ariana's friend.

Dr Thompson: I thought you said y'alls are family?

They kept mute, and he goes on....  He turns to the cops, these are the guys I told you about, something is not adding up to the story they told me. See how this one is naked.

He turns and went to his office. 

They were speechless but unperturbed . One of the police men said, "you all need to come with us for questioning" 

Alex whispered,  "here comes the arrest ".
