NO GOODBYES (CHAPTER 43)
The "shattering" part is where the job begins. Someone said "a heart that's been destroyed by the one it beats for, will never love again..." I beg to differ. A heart that's been destroyed by the one he or she was in love with, may still love again, he or she can still long for love...
Love in itself is not destruction, it's the people who you are in love with that are destructive. That's why the Bible says that the heart of men are desperately wicked, who can understand it?
Love is all the goodness you need, the sweet smelling incense that wakes you up in the morning, the joy that fills your heart when you're alone, a tingle of excitement and the uncontrollable smile that satisfies your belly when you think of the person. The book of Corinthians 13: 4-8 describes love perfectly;
"...Love never gives up.
Love cares more for others than for self.
Love doesn’t want what it doesn’t have.
Love doesn’t strut,
Doesn’t have a swelled head,
Doesn’t force itself on others,
Isn’t always “me first,”
Doesn’t fly off the handle,
Doesn’t keep score of the sins of others,
Doesn’t revel when others grovel,
Takes pleasure in the flowering of truth,
Puts up with anything,
Trusts God always,
Always looks for the best,
Never looks back,
But keeps going to the end.
Love never dies. Inspired speech will be over some day; praying in tongues will end; understanding will reach its limit..." But not love.
Love is the greatest of them all and the truth no one is saying is that it's not only a broken heart that can truly love perfectly. If your love is true, then you can love right.
The one who is broken, rejected and abused severally has the power to love as well. If they have allowed themselves to go through the process of healing and restoration, it is possible.That person knows better and has even seen the different shades of love and is willing to go through it and feel the bittersweet taste it brings.
It's true when you're broken that you may say you don't want to love again because love feels wrong when you're broken as much as it feels right when you're whole (in love). But if you open up to the pain and accept the truth, then comes the healing process. You'll come out refined and better. And if you find love again, you will still love love because it's the sweetest of all things.
Sitting and watching Ariana talking to Audrey, she didn't know how every word struck Audrey, she didn't realize how deeply he feels for her, and that's strange and unlike her, because she always knows when someone likes her, she's never been caught off guard, or off balance. She's always prepared for whatever may come but she didn't see this one coming. Could it be she let her guards down or she was just being her self around him, around someone she considers 'friend'?.
She kept talking and talking and wanted him to really engage her in the conversation but he barely spoke, he allowed her do most of the talking while he listened as he ate.
The day became night as the night got darker, and daylight disappeared...
