She managed to surpass his charms and whispered, yea, follow me.
They got to the cellar, Alex opened the door for him and turned to go, but he insisted she stayed with him.
"Stay Alexandra, I could use some company yea?" Audrey asked her. So she walked back into the cellar with him, he continued " what type of wine do you like or would recommend for me, I want to have fun today, it's Christmas afterall" he told her, she replied, "yea, its Christmas ".
She moved her eyes around the cellar and started raising some wines and checking the years and names, she would pick one and explain after the other... "This is Merlot. Merlot is a classic French red wine that's popular across the globe. It's also the second most commonly cultivated wine grape in the world, she continued;
This is Luc Belaire Bleu. This one has the Luxe Rosé, Gold, snow and so on...
There is Bumbu Crème, it has other ones like the Belaire brand as well. And this one is The Villonaire. I love this one and McQueen & The Violet Fog Gin".
She went on and on until Audrey was intrigued about how she knows so much about wines. She then told him Ariana taught her.
"You see, Ariana's grandfather worked with the Whitemen in those days, and traveled round the world, then returned with so many of them. That's how come Ariana knows so much about wines and also loves drinking them too".
"Incredible" Audrey replied. "Since you know wines more than I do, please pick me a wine, let me see what your choice will be" he said that looking at her the same way he did before. But instead of a wine, she picked a gin and told him to follow her as she dropped the bottle back in the cellar. He watched her do that and later asked her why she dropped the gin, she told him " there is a cold bottle in the fridge alongside other wines I think you'd like. So, c'mon lets pick from those...
That was how they walked back into the kitchen as he watched her prepare a cocktail with 95% (ninety five percent) alcohol.
She gave him first to taste and he loved it. And they fixed glasses for the rest people in the house. And took to serve them. The moment they entered the livingroom, they saw Brian and Ariana coming down from the stairs looking all refreshed, everyone took out of the tray before them and cheered and drank as they shared there stories of what they went through when they found her unconscious.
Showed her the text messages on everything, even how Audrey became part of them, and Ariana was super grateful he had them. She stood up and hugged them one after the other and when he got to Brian, she kissed him and told him "thank you softly. And said, "thank you everyone..."
They laughed and ate and continued drinking until Ariana needed to rest. Brian took her up and remained with her. Then Mr Anderson had to go home with Daniel to meet his wife for the remaining celebration of the evening.
Alexandra and Audrey stayed back and cleaned up and helped moved what was left to the kitchen and came out to the livingroom again. Alex went back into the kitchen and did not come out, after awhile, Audrey went in looking for her but didn't find her in the kitchen, he thought maybe she stepped out to get something or has gone home, "but she could've told me she was leaving" he muttered and went straight to the cellar for another bottle of drink and there, he found Alexandra drinking from a full bottle of red wine (Domino Del Rey).
He wondered why she was there alone when it was the two of them that were together just now... Could it be she didn't like his company or she was waiting for him to come to her? Well, he obviously didn't have the answer or he wouldn't be wondering.
He decided to be a gentleman and ask her up, but instead she told him to sit with her there for a little longer, she insisted and he sat, and then she told him to come closer to her, he felt something was up with her so he obliged and she asked him to hug her tightly, he didn't wait for her to say it again, he took her in his arms as tight as she wanted and squeezed her as much as she agreed, behind the Christmas tree 🎄
