The moment was cloudy and shady - shady like shadows on low light evenings, the act of silence and the little twinkling  gliters from multiple colors of light that reflected on the whisky cups on the table, forming a secure  ambience for a ‘lover's  time-out’,  the kind that would have been ideal for creating sweet moments, an experience with clarity of purpose, reassurance and hope for the future, but that was not the case now.

It would have been if Daniel wasn't in the picture, perhaps Audrey would clamor for joy of finding satisfaction with Alex in a serendipity. He would have raised his voice in the streets as he walked and let it echo beyond the walls, but now he's somehow disconnected and can't seem to be in touch with himself and her.

Capering around she poured from the whisky bottle in front of her into the fourth clean glass on the table and drank while pacing in excitement. She had forgotten Audrey was still in the house and how the past hours had been for her and the officer. Perhaps it wasn't real, maybe she needed to be with Audrey to know what Daniel's love felt like but She wasn't confused at all, she wanted Daniel.  Maybe she's wrong, but she's eager to find out.

Audrey, lingering in the living room, decided to step into the cellar once more seeing that Alex wasn't about to come out and he could not get his thoughts off her.

"Alexandra,  what's going on? I've been waiting for you to join me but you haven't stepped out", before Alex could utter a word, Audrey took her into his arms and hugged her and would not let her go, and she stayed there.
